Saturated Colour Blogger Meet Up

On Saturday 7th May I attended the Saturated Colour bloggers event along with many other local bloggers, which is always nice to see familiar faces from events before and meeting new bloggers. We all get along because we all have one huge thing in common, our love for blogging. I had met some other bloggers on twitter who I know would be going to the event via the #eSCexbbmeetup hashtag which was actually really great as we all got to speak and scope out who was likely to be at the SC event.

When we first arrived at the event we were greeted by the lovely SC ladies who gave us a name badge and names were printed in certain colours. We were told to remember what colour we are.

The meet up was based at SC main HQ (by the way it is absolutely beautiful, its in a lovely barn, that is so instagrammable) which is based in Stock, Essex.

The ladies from SC started off the event by giving us a talk and a show round of all the products and that they all are/do. Saturated Colour are a completely cruelty free brand and they also have a few vegan friendly products which I think is amazing.

We then got to mingle and chit-chat around a main table in the middle of the beautiful main room which had 3 different kind of cocktails on all made with Vita Coco coconut water as Vita Coco sponsored the event. Sandwiches were laid out aswell as crisps & sweets.

The reason why at the beginning of the event we had different coloured name badges was because we were going to be split up in to groups to do a competition, that being to create lip art on yourself which had to be done in  10 mins. Which at first I think we all found that quite daunting at first. I am not artistic whatsoever so this was going to be hard for me. They had laid out lips kits on the table, there was one per person and in the lip kits were various bold colours to create a look. I chose a kit which had a red lip vinyl which was called Lady In Red, an orange lip vinyl in the shade Magnetic Melon and a lipstick in the colour Caressing Red. There was pictures the SC girls had put up in the room of lip art to give us some inspo. I went for a red and orange ombre look. But its safe to say didn’t win the competition.

We all had some pictures done at the selfie station which was really cool, we got to write on chalkboards what we had on our lips. I well and truly loved the Magnetic Melon I had on my lips, very bold and bright but perfect in the summer or on holiday with a tan!!

After all of that was done we got to browse the products again and pick anything up that we wanted to purchase, which I think we all did. I had to get my hands on that Magnetic Melon lip vinyl! After a talk and a thank you from the SC ladies that was it, the event was over. It went really fast, time flies when you are having fun.

Saturated Colour have some really amazing products which really stuck out to me which was:

  1. Make Me Matte Lipstick Mattifier – this kind of says it all in the name but if you have a satin/shiny finish lipstick that you wish was matte the Make Me Matte will do that for you
  2. Colour Switch – you apply the Colour Switch as a base and then your lipstick and blend them together and you will have a completely new shade. How cool is that?
  3. LIPStick – These lipsticks come in 12 different colours, so great variety. they are very pigmented and have such long staying power, i was so impressed.

You can shop online for all your Saturated Colour goodies and you can also pop in to the HQ where they have a shop. Their address, phone number and email are all on their website.

We all left the event with a lovely little goody bag with 4 products in one of which was a very cute jar of  Vita Coco coconut oil. Which is always helpful because I love coconut oil and use it daily.

Go on and try some of their products, you’ll love them!

Thanks for reading as always,

Love From Liv xo
